Summary:
Everything has a shelf life, from the frozen sea bream cooling in the fridge to Rin’s right leg. Just like his career, whatever he had with Shidou had a shelf life of its own, too—and now it has met its untimely end, rotting in fast motion before crumbling to mold at the seams. Rin has no one but himself to blame for expecting things to last. If there’s anything adulthood has taught him, it’s that forever is a pipe dream.
